Temptation
Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
Ever used the “I’m only human” excuse? For Christians this is simply not true. You are not only human. You have the Holy Spirit of God living within you. His presence in our lives makes us more than just human. I John 4:4 tells us, Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (NASB1995). We don’t need to cower in fear, surrender in defeat, or buckle under pressure. Paul confirms this in I Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it (NASB1995). We are more than conquerors! Think about it.
