1 Peter 5:7

THE INWARD LIFE OF A STEWARD
Trust

Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Imagine being one of the children of Israel in the wilderness and never having any surplus food? You would have to go out each morning, gather up the amount of manna you and your family would need for that day and each day repeat that process for 40 years. The manna could not be stored up until tomorrow, next week or next month. You might be led to ask with some degree of anxiety, “What would we do if God forgot to provide the manna? Wouldn’t it be a smart idea to save up some reserves for later, just in case?” Would it? First Peter 5:7 says, Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (NASB). What would be wrong with living a hand-to-mouth existence, if it was God’s hand to your mouth? Think about it.
