Proverbs 27:12

THE OUTWARD LIFE OF A STEWARD

Sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it, but an unthinking person will walk right into it and regret it later.

Proverb 27:12 says, Sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it, but an unthinking person will walk right into it and regret it later (GNT). I’ve been the “unthinking person” on more than one occasion in my life – crashing headlong into a brick wall, nose bleeding, and forehead scrapped. Can you relate? Conversely, a sensible person sees the wall ahead and avoids it. The primary difference between an unthinking person and a sensible person is wisdom. One person has it, sees trouble and avoids it. The other one doesn’t, crashes, and regrets it later. So, how do you get the needed wisdom? James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously (NASB). Wisdom is yours for the asking. Think about it.
