Proverbs 3:9-10

THE OUTWARD LIFE OF A STEWARD
Giving

Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce;so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.

Solomon makes a profound command with a promise in Proverbs 3:9-10, “Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce;so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine (NASB).” These verses are routinely misinterpreted by people who want you to believe that you can get rich giving your money to God. But the truth of this powerful passage is far more spiritually compelling when we understand that Solomon is describing what could be called the Law of Resupply. As you give, God will continue to resource, not so you can spend it on yourself, but so that you can continue to give more away. Remember, God is looking for people who live like pipes and not like buckets. Think about it.
