2 Corinthians 10:5

THE INWARD LIFE OF A STEWARD
Controlling Thoughts

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Paul give us the primary objective for a victorious Christian life. He declares in Second Corinthians 10:5, “We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (NASB).” There is absolutely no question that the battle between holy and unholy, between righteous and unrighteous, between good and evil, all begin with our thoughts. Our success in living the life of a faithful steward hinges on our willingness and ability to successfully control what we think about. Good, pure, and godly thoughts lead to victory. Evil, selfish, and hurtful thoughts will lead to failure. If you want spiritual victory in your life, take “every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” and the victory will be yours. Think about it.
