Ephesians 5:15-17

THE OUTWARD LIFE OF A STEWARD
Spending Your Time

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:15-17 says, Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is (NASB). There are two ways to live. The wise man makes the most of his time; the unwise man wastes his time. If we want to be wise in how we live, we need to understand two realities. First, “the days are evil.” The world gladly parades before us one temptation after another to entice us to waste our time on meaningless things. Second, God knows how to make the most of our lives. The key to maximum life outcomes is not found in pursuing what WE want for our lives; it is found in pursuing what HE wants for our lives. Think about it.
