This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it
Psalm 118:24 tells us, This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it (NASB). This is a noble sentiment, but being able to live fully in the present is an incredible challenge. We are constantly being pulled back into the past or forced to look ahead into the future. Whenever we are reflecting back or projecting forward, we are no longer living in the present moment. We are missing what is happening now because we are occupied with what has already happened or what might happen. If we want to get the most out of our lives and have the greatest possible impact for our King, we need to constantly work to live in the present moment as often as we possibly can. Think about it.
